Cupping is one method of Traditional Chinese Medicine and within TCM one of the oldest ones.
Cupping uses glass cups which are warmed up and placed on the body.
Traditionally cups were used to stimulate the flow of blood and to balance and realign the flow of qi as well as to “clear toxins” from the body. Today they are frequently used in the treatment of sporting injuries or to assist in recovery after a sporting event.
Cupping can be used to assist conditions like:
- Gastrointestinal disorders
- Certain types of pain
Cupping may leave marks and in rare cases can cause blisters.
With booking a cupping session at my clinic you accept the terms and conditions including the potential side affects of cupping.
